You coat a weapon you touch in an acidic substance. Until the spell ends, weapon attacks made with it deal an extra 2d4 acid damage on a hit. If the weapon isn’t already a magic weapon, it becomes one for the duration. In addition, a creature hit with a melee attack using the weapon must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it becomes poisoned until the end of the attacker’s next turn. At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the acid damage increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 3rd.
